Gordon Russell of Broadway, A mahogany and rosewood veneered double helix sideboard. Model 407. Designed by Booth & Ledeboer for The Festival of Britain 1951.
1950’s Gordon Russell Double Helix Sideboard.
This is a super quality Helix sideboard, this was first designed and shown at the Great Exhibition in 1951.
A fabulous, original colour, made by Gordon Russell, the double Helix sideboard is complete with the metals makers badge on the back.
In mahogany with Bombay rosewood veneers which are cut to show off the white birch underneath, this makes the helix pattern prominent.
A rare find and in top condition can fetch over £1000. This one has some interior shelving missing which could be easily replaced and a small chip to the door. Otherwise it is in excellent condition and a good investment.
