SOLD: 1960s Teak Desk by Carsons

We get to go to some pretty amazing places on our travels and this was another one of those occasions, where we were invited to visit the house of  renowned sculptor, the late John Mills. As you can imagine, there were beautiful sculptures everywhere and this desk, owned by Mr. Mills was very much part of his studio. Such a beautiful house, and so many pieces of work, we could have stayed there all day, and we even got to meet Kevin, the rescue dog too!

So..onto the desk..

Made in around the 1960s  by Carsons Furniture and in solid teak, it has been well loved and well used and has a few marks here and there, but is in very nice condition throughout. Very solid, heavy and well made. It has signs of use as you expect coming from a studio all adding to character of course, but will be deeply cleaned before leaving our barn – whilst retaining all the character of course.

All drawers run smoothly, are dovetailed, and there is a centre foot rest.

Very nice timeless style and a nice bit of history too.
