A beautiful mid century 1950s architects plan chest by Staverton with insert handles and a lovely rich patina to the wood.
Totally original, we absolutely love the patina from many years of use in a studio which really adds to the charachter with the oak being super solid throughout.
All the drawers run smoothly and are dovetail jointed throughout.
Come in two parts for easy access to your property and delivered to a room of your choice by our two man delivery team. Delivery as with all our pieces is included.
The patinta to the top really adds to the charm and as a result we have left it in its original condition, as sanding it would remove most of the character which would look out of place with the rest of the piece. There are areas of wood stain to the top as it was used as a worktop in a studio, which in the picture may look like vaneer is missing, this is not the case. Solid top. Super clean and will be waxed as detailed below.

Before leaving it will be treated to our usual service waxed and ready to go.
We specialise in Architects Plan Chests with all our plan chest undergoing a full service before leaving, with a deep clean, tighten and repairs when required. We also use natural beeswax when the finish to the wood allows for it. We prefer to leave them as natural as possible rather than full renovations as the charachter than comes from years of use is part of the charm and originality of each one. However, we do carry out full restoration work and repairs when the need arises!
