A fully restored and stripped 1950s M.O.D steel storage locker with original brass handle.
The original rust and layers of old paint have been fully stripped to bare metal, however this has by no means diminished its character. Up close you can see plenty of signs of use and patina covered by a thick, glassy, super smooth glossy lacquer.
The interior has been fully restored with a tough matt black finish, matching the base of the unit.
The unit shuts via a turning brass handle mechanism. The shelves can be repositioned to various heights.
This is a very solid and a heavy unit, built to 1950s Ministry of Defense standards.
