SOLD: 1950s Steel Tanker Desk -Exceptional!

These steel tanker desks are a firm favourite over here and we are always on the hunt for them, so it was great to be asked to take a look at the fine work by a metal works company working alongside the London Museum of Water & Steam in Brentford.

This is a superb restoration and in exceptionally clean condition throughout. Fully stripped of paint and many years of oil and grease whilst maintaining all the character of the metal is not an easy task, and the end result is a quality finish, retaining the character and patina of the metal.

A very clean desk, masterfully restored, this type of restoration takes many hours of hard work to achieve.
