A rare, large mid century teak sideboard by A. Younger dating to around the 1960s — and in genuinely excellent condition throughout. We were invited to Chilford Hall Vinery just outside Cambridge where this piece has been since new.
The A. Younger name is well known among mid century furniture collectors and this is a desirable and very rare model. Complete with the original key making the large cupboard area fully lockable. Solid teak throughout with dovetailed construction and just a few minor marks — nothing to distract from the distinctive Danish minimalist design that makes these sideboards so sought after.
Generous storage: shelves to the main cupboard and four drawers to the left — three single drawers below a larger double-width top drawer, with four handles that blend seamlessly for a clean finish. Given the full Cambrewood service and delivered by our two man team to a room of your choice. A genuinely special piece.
