1940s Architects Plan Chest (C1)

Made from solid oak with a lovely aged oak top showing a rich patina, this architects plan chest spent its life in a large engineers factory after being retired into storage many years ago.

The oak shows plenty of character with that beautiful old oak top and original brass label fittings. Very solid unit with all drawers running smoothly.

We have acquired a number of these from a large engineering factory with money from the sale to us going to a great cause. Full of vintage plans and paperwork and stored away for many years, they are now being bought back to life at our barn.

Each one is fully prepped, deep cleaned and given a full Cambrewood service here in our workshop. Repairs, when required are carried out to the highest standard with care taken to retain the original patina and character of the wood. The end result is a beautiful, original cabinet finished in a natural wax to both feed and enhance the wood.
