SOLD: 1940s Architects Plan Chest Coffee Table

This solid oak Architects plan chest coffee table has a rich patination to the top from years in use at a engineering plant dating back to the 1940s.

The wheels could be removed if you would prefer it to sit flush to the floor. The wheels chosen have a vintage aged look to the metal, are fully lockable and designed to support far more weight the table, chosen for quality and style.

All drawers run smoothly. Original handles and fittings.

We have acquired a number of plan chests from a large engineering factory with money from the sale to us going to a great cause. Full of vintage plans and paperwork and stored away for many years, they are now being bought back to life at our barn.

Each one is fully prepped, deep cleaned and given a full Cambrewood service here in our workshop. Repairs, when required are carried out to the highest standard with care taken to retain the original patina and character of the wood. The end result is a beautiful, original cabinet finished in a natural wax to both feed and enhance the wood.
