SOLD: Rare 1930s Oak Architects Plan Chest

Made from oak in the 1930s, this gorgeous architects plan chest is a rare find in the highly sought after taller style.

Totally original throughout, this three piece unit was in use at a large engineering factory for many years before being retired to storage for many more.

Original brass fittings with panelled sides.

We have acquired a number of these with money from the sale to us going to a great cause.

Each one is fully prepped, deep cleaned and given a full Cambrewood service here in our workshop. Repairs, when required are carried out to the highest standard with care taken to retain the original patina and character of the wood. The end result is a beautiful, original cabinet finished in a natural wax to both feed and enhance the wood.
